Test Engineer – Stafford, VA
Seeking mid to senior level Test Engineer with experience in technical support to acquisition programs, for our customer in Stafford, VA. Duties include:
1. Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition Test documentation (e.g., Test Evaluation Master Plan, Detailed Test Plans, Test Reports).
2. Lead/conduct test preparation, coordination, and execution. Ensure systems, personnel, ranges/facilities and ancillary resources are ready and available to execute tests within specified timelines and in accordance with test plans.
3. Support the design, conduct, data collection, and reporting of test events.
4. Develop reports, briefs, and documentation related to programs in the portfolio.
5. Conduct technical assessment and evaluation of Prime Contractor deliverables, architectures, and Engineering Change Proposals.
6. Assist with the development of technical specifications.
7. Develop Technical Review Action Plans and participate in all aspects of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR) process.
8. Participate in Test & Evaluation and System Engineering (SE) IPTs.
9. Develop and/or revise appropriate level acquisition engineering documentation (e.g., Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), engineering analyses, Network Design Documents, requirements, drawings).
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, but other technical/scientific discipline acceptable, or years of relevant experience commensurate with required level.
2. At least 4 years' experience planning and conducting developmental tests including live fire events or comparable operational experience required.
3. Experience in developing Test and Evaluation documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events is required.
4. Ability to effectively work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government organizations.
5. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact both orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences at all levels.
6. Excellent MS Office skills are required.
7. Experience with the DoD Architecture Framework is a plus.
8. Should be proactive, a self-starter and a history of demonstrating initiative.
9. Active DoD SECRET clearance required.
Salary Range – $95 to $135K
