Role Summary: As Inchcape grows our presence in the UK cruise sector with several wins already in 2024, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as UK Cruise Administrator. The role holder will act as central coordination with a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all port bookings, financial management and enquiries for Inchcape’s cruise business in the UK. Whilst our core working hours are Monday to Friday, shipping is a 24-7 industry, and you will participate in a shared out of hours on-call service and there will be ad-hoc travel required to ports and business events. We are looking for someone who has proven customer service skills, ideally with knowledge of the cruise sector, port operations or airline industry, but if you are a university/college graduate with a transferrable skillset then we would love to hear from you. In this role, we will provide you with the tools, experience and confidence to build a career in operations, learning our business and with opportunities to develop into a future leader or professional in the port agency and marine services industry. Hours: Standard working week but with evening, weekend and public holiday on-call coverage and travel as business needs dictate Contract type: Permanent/full-time Based: Grangemouth, Scotland Key Accountabilities: Coordinate the itinerary planning and port booking process for our existing cruise clients for their UK wide port deployments. Request, track and scrutinise port call cost estimates, pre-funding from principals and final disbursement accounts (invoices). Manage the input of tariffs, invoices and supporting documents into cruise line operating platforms such as MXP and IMS. Support our local port agency teams and partner agents to ensure the delivery of safe and smooth port calls of all our appointed cruise vessels in the UK. Candidate Requirements: Previous experience working onboard a cruise ship or in shipping, airline or port operations is desirable Driven and ambitious to further a career in the maritime sector in an operations role Experience of working in a customer service-facing role Have strong communication and leadership capacities with a hands-on attitude An effective planner with excellent time management skills The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced pressured environment Eligibility to work in the UK without needing employer sponsorship A full UK Driving License Willing to work out-of-office hours (evening, weekends and public holidays) and to travel to ports to attend calls as business needs dictate.
