Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading provider of renewable energy from food waste to recruit a Plant Operations Manager for their state-of-the-art facility in North Cheshire.
The Plant Operations Manager role will play a vital role in ensuring the site is running at maximum efficiency and comes with a competitive salary, depending on experience, and benefits include private health care and car allowance.

Responsibilities and Duties
1. Ensure on-site operations run to maximum efficiency to deliver required outputs.
2. Work with the relevant management teams to establish process and performance using KPI's and lead continuous improvements.
3. Manage and maintain the site's resources including personnel, the plant, and equipment on a daily basis.
4. Ensure plant operations maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and licenses, including Environmental Permit, ABP license, and relevant statutory compliance.
5. Ensure management systems maintain compliance with standards ISO9001, PAS110, and ADQP, while working towards ISO14001 and ISO45001.
6. Ensure that the highest possible standards of Health and Safety are maintained in line with Group and site-specific H&S policies and Codes of Practice.
7. Ensure staff are engaged, motivated, developed, and led with a high focus on training.
8. Work closely with sales and commercial teams to ensure delivery of client requirements.
9. Work closely with the Transport department to ensure deliveries and dispatches are scheduled and aligned with the process.
10. Liaise with and manage site Engineering team for engineering requirements and ensuring planned preventative maintenance systems are carried out.
11. Other duties as required.
Professional Qualifications
1. Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline or Waste Management is desired.
2. IOSH is essential.
3. WAMITAB COTC is desired.
4. Full UK driving license.
Personal Skills
The Plant Operations Manager role would suit someone who has:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience working in anaerobic digestion or a similar processing environment such as energy from waste, water treatment, or a heavy processing plant.
2. Experience of working in a continuous processing environment.
3. Legislative and industry awareness and knowledge.
4. Experience with Environmental Permits and the Environmental Agency.
