KM4 This is a great opportunity to join a well established EMEA HR team in a newly created Sr Consultant role supporting Associate Relations (AR) priorities in region. The Associate Relations teams’ purpose is to h elp protect TRP at both a strategic and operational level through providing high quality data, advice, guidance and learning; connecting people to the organization and acting as an organizational conscience delivering fair and commercial outcomes in line with T. Rowe Price values. The Associate Relations team works closely with business unit aligned HR business partners and co-ordinates activity with other HR COE e.g Reward, HR Shared Service and HR Compliance and Governance, as well as engaging other internal partners such as legal, compliance and enterprise security in enabling the development of individual associate solutions. Core activities: Case management Employment related policy and letters Manager support and training Associate consultations Reporting Role Responsibilities Working in close partnership with HR Business Partners and reporting to the Global Head of Associate Relations (based in London), you will: Proactively provide advice and support on a broad range of employee issues across the EMEA region, including (but not limited to) management of under-performance, involuntary exits (including redundancies), conduct and disciplinary issues and interpretation of employment policy and practices. Partner with compliance on conduct breaches, and manage the conduct panel process Be active in directly managing AR matters through to conclusion, working directly with asswociates, business managers and leaders in executing in line with established procedures Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal & Compliance and the Global Head of AR, to assess and mitigate legal, regulatory and reputational risk, in line with T.Rowe Price’s values. Advise on the associate relations impact of organizational change, including workforce reductions and acquisitions, consulting with associate representative bodies as required. Support the Global Head of AR in defining and executing the AR strategy for EMEA and ensuring practices and processes globally align where possible, advising on need for regional difference. Maintain connectivity to external environment to ensure we are staying aligned with external trends and future legislation Update AR policies and procedures, ensuring up to date and compliant with local regulations Use the existing case management system to log matters and use the associated data to gather insights and develop proactive strategies to remediate risk. Support design of better reporting analytics Assist in the design and delivery of training to managers, employees and HR partners on relevant AR topics. Lead, and contribute to, AR-related projects, partnering with other global COEs as needed. Required Knowledge/Experience Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 8 years of total progressive relevant work experience, ideally within Financial Services, supporting an asset management /wealth management business Solid Employee Relations case management and advisory experience Sound understanding and application of relevant EMEA employment laws and regulations, and ability to pragmatically apply this knowledge in a commercial environment. Ability to consider the local, regional and global impact of decisions. Act as an effective thought partner when considering emerging issues and formulate considered and thoughtful responses. Strong judgment and decision–making skills Excellent consultative, coaching and conflict resolution skills. Adept at working with management to influence/facilitate change, implement strategy and accomplish objectives The ability to work independently and in a team environment. Needs to have worked effectively in a global matrix environment Confidently influence and articulate complex issues to a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Experience building consensus on a cross-functional basis. Interpersonal relations: particularly tact, sensitivity, professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy Excellent project management skills and experience with a drive for results Experience of working with Workers Councils (Spain and Italy advantageous) Work Flexibility: This role is eligible for remote work up to two days a week.
