About Us
Our practice has recently undergone an extensive expansion and renovation, allowing us to continue growing while investing in cutting-edge equipment and patient facilities. Our new developments include a diagnostic imaging suite, theatre, and a dedicated dental room—all designed to enhance patient care. We also prioritise work-life balance, both at home and at work, with our new break room and office, ensuring our team has a comfortable and supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Our VCAs receive training in the kennel ward, animal handling, and supporting nursing care areas. There is also a combined non-clinical aspect, where you’ll assist with administrative tasks to help provide the best client and patient experience.
We are a training practice and have been training veterinary nurses for over 10 years. We truly value colleague development and provide an environment where you can learn new skills, grow in confidence, and achieve your career goals. Many of our VCAs have progressed to train as student veterinary nurses, making this a great role for someone looking to progress in the industry.
We are seeking a motivated, passionate, and professional individual who is serious about a career in veterinary care. You should have a strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed—both with our support and through your own initiative. You will be friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable, providing a welcoming experience for clients and their pets. You should bring enthusiasm, teamwork, and a positive attitude, handling both joyful and difficult moments with care. If you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Benefits
In return, we offer benefits such as a 20% discount at the Vet Group, Pets at Home, and the Groom Room, access to discounts and cashbacks, in-house career development opportunities, pension, and holiday allowance. The salary for this role is national minimum wage.
We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference, so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves, so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
