Salary Details
Year 1 - £15,059.24; Year 2 - £18,495.89; Year 3 - £21,479.10; Year 4 - £23,283.58.
What you will need
* At least five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade 6 or above, including English, Maths, and Science or Engineering.
* Competent IT Skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
* You must demonstrate that you have the legal Right to Work in the UK.
* Please Note – applicants must be 17 or over before starting this apprenticeship.
Ideally, you’ll also have an interest in technology and providing high-quality customer service. We’re looking for individuals who display excellent communication, organisation, and teamworking skills.
About the role
As a Tech Support Engineer you’ll support with the installation and configuration of security applications on PC-based systems. This field-based and practical role will also involve product testing, modifications, training, and documentation. You’ll become an expert in a range of high-tech security systems and will provide both hands-on and remote support to project and system engineers.
Your training programme
The training will consist of various college blocks covering theory and practical classroom training, as well as on-the-job training shadowing experienced Tech Support Engineers. By the end of your training programme, you’ll know how to confidently support customers and engineers, test products, deliver training, and much more.
Complete the programme and you will join our Head Office team as a fully qualified Tech Support Engineer. Here your training will continue, with close support from our early careers team.
Assessment Process
We run a multi-stage assessment process designed to highlight your relevant skills, qualities, and aptitude. You don’t need any previous experience, but it would be a bonus.
