Job Summary/ Purpose:
1. The main purpose is to improve quality performance across our organisation. This encompasses quality in all key areas of the business, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Logistics, Technical/R&D.
Main Responsibilities:
2. Establish, review, maintain and improve the quality management system, procedures and associated documents and ensure they are electronically filed and stored in a central database.
3. Ensure that the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations, including health and safety, environment protection and consumer rights.
4. Manage the Quality Control department resources (people and equipment) to improve standards and performance.
5. Establish and implement the Inspection and Test Plan
6. Ensure the availability of required tools, including calibrated measuring equipment.
7. Perform statistical analysis of test results.
8. Conduct root cause analysis and take appropriate corrective actions on identified problems.
9. Identify potential sources of error and suggest ways to eliminate them (preventive actions)
10. Work with a third party to certify the organization to ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.
11. Plan and conduct internal quality audits.
12. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external organizations and customers.
13. Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards for all employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
14. Academic Level: Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, business, production management, quality management),
15. Certifications advantageous – Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvements Associate, CI
16. Language(s) and level of proficiency: Conversant in English
Knowledge/ Experience Required:
17. Prior experience working in a similar role is a pre-requisite.
18. Ability to work with general direction, minimal supervision.
19. Expert knowledge of ISO 9001, knowledge of other QMS (Quality Management System) desirable
20. Data analysis – able to collect and analyse data to identify trends and detect problems and key issues.
21. Judgment and problem solving – able to define decision criteria and determine the most appropriate course of action.
22. Communications skills – strong verbal and written skills to provide concise and clear instruction, information, and documentation.
23. Attention to detail and quality orientation – able to accurately check process and outputs.
24. Conversant in English language, additional language skills advantageous
25. Working knowledge of Q-Pulse and NWA Quality Analyst desirable
26. Intermediate level Microsoft Office
27. More than three years’ experience in a related role
28. Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience
29. Experience with implementation of corrective action programs
30. Solid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical analysis
31. Experience of facilitating training and continuous improvement workshop
32. Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws): The position will require physical movement within a factory environment and travel outside the site (home and abroad). Good vision is required.
