Maintenance Engineer Role
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm and 2pm – 10pm with earlier finishes on a Friday
Base salary of ££45,000 per annum plus 22% shift uplift, range of benefits and optional overtime available
A leading global company with manufacturing sites worldwide has an opening in their maintenance engineering team at their Northwest site for an 18th Edition Electrically qualified multi-skilled engineer to work on several automated production lines with PLCs and ABB robots.
About the Role
* Improve overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes
* Ensure production targets are met by optimising output and minimising defects
* Provide production line support in line with company goals and objectives
* Track and report process improvement results
* Preventive maintenance and equipment breakdown repairs
* Establish process conditions
* In-line quality checks
* Process monitoring and controlling according to Statistical Process Control (SPC) method
* Analyse data to fault find and develop prioritised improvement plans for the platform
* Maintain and develop delivery of finished products in line with cost, quality and production schedule requirements
Opportunities will be provided to work on continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and output.
About You
* Demonstrate first-class technical production support experience
* Evidence of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, servo controls and PLC fault finding skills
* Hold electrical qualifications including the 18th Edition
* Previous experience of robotics (ABB preferred), automated assembly production lines and vision systems would be advantageous
* Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings
