Job Description
Are you ready to use your financial expertise to make a real impact? As ETAS continues to grow in the UK, we are offering a unique opportunity for an experienced and highly competent finance professional to stabilize, enhance, and improve our processes. As part of the small team of four responsible for the commercial operations of ETAS in the UK, this role will be very hands-on. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable handling a broad range of tasks—from ad hoc and complex challenges to simple day-to-day duties—and will often negotiate with contacts across the group, both in the UK and globally. This is an ideal role for someone ready to step up and take ownership in a supportive environment, ensuring that every element of our business runs smoothly while also making these processes scalable for future growth.
What You'll Do:
* Shape the future: Bring your innovative ideas to streamline processes and ensure that data and workflows in our systems are accurate, avoiding errors and improving overall efficiency.
* Support our team: Collaborate with associates from non-financial backgrounds, helping them understand and manage key processes.
* Problem-solve: Take a proactive, inquisitive approach to overcoming challenges, finding solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Report and Review: Deliver key business figures for month end closing, provide meaningful commentary on financial results and trends. Calculate cost and revenue adjustments required for various engineering projects.
* Manage and control: Oversee internal orders, service-level agreements, and transfer pricing, ensuring correct cost distribution between business models.
* Forecasting and planning: Assist with the preparation of financial forecasts, helping to predict future costs, revenues and profitability to support strategic business decisions.
* Support the business: Educate other associates on how to structure their quotes and projects to invoice customers in line with their contractual milestones.
* Drive improvement: Support the transition of finance functions to centralised teams, ensuring key processes start on a timely basis.
* Partner with the business: Provide cost center owners with valuable data insights and cost control recommendations.
* Process Expertise: Ensure that all costs and revenues are in the correct legal entity by monitoring compliance with our business models and monitoring intercompany billing.
* Ensure compliance: Identify the root cause of process deviations and ensure these are communicated to other departments to prevent recurrence.
* Mentor: Provide essential support to department managers and handle escalations from team members.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys collaborating across teams, and is passionate about finding better ways to do things.
