We’re looking for a Director, Commercial Contracts (B2B) to join our team in London, UK The Director will provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of complex commercial contracts emanating from Liberty Blume (an exciting and emerging new business within the LG family). This role requires a high level of commercial acumen and the ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts, and will be able to provide strategic legal advice to the business. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a variety of complex commercial contracts, including but not limited to: B2B contracts (including building a precedent bank) Sales and distribution agreements Supply and purchase agreements Licensing and technology transfer agreements Service level agreements Proactively advising the different pillars of the Liberty Blume business and their varied stakeholders on legal matters Providing strategic legal advice to the business on commercial matters, including risk assessment and mitigation. Managing and coordinating external legal counsel as required. Developing and implementing contract management processes and procedures (for the business to manage) Staying up-to-date with relevant legal and commercial developments. Actively progressing legal aspects of commercial transactions and other allocated matters to conclusion through efficient and effective planning and management to meet challenging demands Preparing and maintaining a bank of customer facing contracts to be used to commercialise new services and products to third party customers (ie not customers within the LG ‘family’) - this will require a deep understanding of each service and product and bespoke agreements dealing with service descriptions, delivery, service levels and so on. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Essential Skills & Abilities: Proven track record in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial contracts. In particular experience with B2B contracts for selling services and products to third parties. Strong commercial acumen and ability to understand complex business issues. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to manage diverse workload. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage upwards and engage a diverse range of stakeholders Education & Experience: Law degree (LLB or equivalent) with a strong academic record. Qualified lawyer with around 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law / customer contracts. Experience in a top law firm is preferred.
