Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Senior secretary to join our Operations team at Royal Derby Hospital The post holder will be responsible for the day to day administrative organisation of the team to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of services. This role will include completing on call rotas, setting up bed meetings, miscellaneously supporting senior management with admin tasks, with the expectation to organise, attend and minute meetings both internally and externally along with other admin staff and to manage email and telephone enquiries. Main duties of the job The successful post holder will possess a high level of organisational skills, be punctual and reliable. They will need to be an effective communicator; evidenced by their excellent verbal and written skills. They will need to be adept at using a range of office software and develop and implement new administrative processes in response to service need. They will be responsible for the upkeep of various non-clinical IT systems and for maintaining and ordering office supplies and equipment. Responsibility for managing highly confidential, extremely sensitive information on regular basis discretion required at all times. Co-ordinate regular and ad-hoc meetings, taking minutes and sending out correspondence.
