Salary: £25,896 to £26,312 Annum (Salary based on a 40-hour contract. A higher range is offered to applicants with qualifications in health and social care)

Overview of the role
The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst ensuring the highest level of care and leading by example. You will also liaise with the seniors in the home, reporting any matters of concern. You must have experience in the care sector and a willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge.
Key duties
* Taking the lead with supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
* Supervising a team and assisting with the overall management of the home
* Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
* Executing any tasks allocated in a professional, timely and accurate manner
* Supervising and sharing mealtimes with residents to encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
* Assisting residents in their daily activities whether this be in or away from the home
* Using your initiative when supporting residents during their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will you work?
Heywood Sumner House is an elegant, detached property, located in the village of South Gorley, in the heart of New Forest, with three acres of beautiful lawns and gardens overlooking the surrounding farmland. The large, rural home supports up to 12 male residents of various ages with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and associated complex needs. The home has a lively, active personality. In addition to an organised programme of regular on-site activities, there is an emphasis on community interaction, and the home has two vehicles for educational and recreational trips and activities in the local community. South Gorley is midway between Fordingbridge and Ringwood, and just 15 minutes from Bournemouth town centre.
