The Strategic Procurement and Contracts Team enables effective procurement and contract management across a range of goods, works and services supporting the provision of council services for the people of North Lincolnshire. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Category Specialist who is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable adults, children and the wider population of North Lincolnshire to join our busy team. The role involves providing advice, support and guidance across council service areas enabling procurement decisions whilst ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures, processes, and current contractual arrangements. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving excellence in procurement and contract management, following best practice, ensuring value for money, and maintaining professional standards. You will be a team player, and collaborate with colleagues across council supporting with service development, delivery and review in line with the organisational development plan. Solutions focused, with a can-do attitude, you will have the ability to build the expertise and technical skills to support effective procurement and contract management across the organisation and working with partners.
