In Southampton, we face the challenges familiar to local authorities across the country. We have robust plans in place to meet those challenges that we’ve named ‘Ambitious Futures’ and are confident, self-aware and focused. We know what we need to do, how we’re going to do it and the evidence shows we’re making really good progress in improving how we work and the difference we make to people’s lives. We’ll have Newton Europe working with us for the next two years to support us deliver our plans on track.
We share the #SocialCareFuture Vision, to enable us all ‘to live in place we call home, with the people and things we love, in communities where we look out for each other, doing the things that matter to us'. In September, we’re changing the way we work to strengthen our approach and ensure that we work with our partners to keep residents healthy, independent, connected and contributing to society. We want to ensure that our community and people who access our services feel safe, supported and connected enabling each person to live independently with opportunities to use technology enabled care and self-serve wherever possible.
