What you'll be doing: • Developing common process material and data standards for a scheduling capability center supporting the Maritime Sector in BAE • Governance and assurance analysis and lessons learned capture/ actions across the portfolio • Operational scheduling support into portfolios/ programmes and projects • Provide expert planning advice to senior programme managers and directors, supporting decision-making with data-driven insights • Support to BAE common scheduling toolset strategy • Ensure compliance with business unit planning policies and industry best practices in scheduling and project control • Development and delivery of scheduling training to PM&C individuals and Delivery Functions (Engineering/ Manufacturing/ Procurement) • Portfolio analysis of performance trend and what-if scenarios. • SME Scheduling support into PM&C early careers and scheduling SME's Your skills and experience: Essentials: • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling within complex engineering, manufacturing, defence projects or equivalent industries • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Open Plan, Microsoft Project, or equivalent • Awareness of Earned Value Management (EVM), governance frameworks, and project performance tracking • Comfortable with frequent/ fortnightly travel to various Maritime & Land sites throughout the UK • Stakeholder Management skills with senior leaders and customers Desirable: • Understanding of risk management and change control processes in project scheduling • Experience of schedule risk analysis Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing, and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Maritime & Land Central Project Function: You will be an SME within this role providing hands-on support to Project Controls Capability Director. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient project execution, working closely with stakeholders to provide good practice guidance on schedules, managing resources, and drive performance improvements while ensuring adherence to business unit goals.
