Job Title - Lift Technician
Location - London/Home Counties
Salary - Up to £65k plus benefits
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Lift Technician to cover London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the lifts attended comply with the current and applicable standards, operating as designed and reliably.
The candidate will deliver first line support to the field Maintenance and Repair engineers, ensuring relevant training to maintain safe operations and upskilled knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Keep abreast of all current changes or updates regarding Health & Safety At Work regulations.
2. Stay updated on changes or updates regarding British Standards and EN compliance regulations.
3. Keep informed about equipment technical and product improvements.
4. Ensure that all test tooling is in good order and equipment is calibrated/in date.
5. Support first line engineers with elevated technical investigation capability to close performance/technical knowledge gaps.
6. Monitor all portfolio-maintained units to identify 'rogue' units with excessive/repeat call backs, planning attendances with the maintenance engineer to resolve fully.
7. Provide technical reports to Contract Managers/Head of Service and Repair on findings and actions of each attendance to assist in client communication and closure.
8. Identify potential training interactions and deliver upon design to improve capabilities of the complete business.
9. Work directly with OEM/supply chain for thorough investigation, next steps, and final closure of faults.
10. Remain competent and aware of all technical tools that can assist in diagnosis and action clarification from multiple OEMs.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Multiple years demonstrable experience in the role.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. NVQ level 4 - Maintenance Technician.
4. Varied knowledge of Public Sector specification lift installations and manufacturers.
