Job Role
We are seeking a motivated and organized Junior Operations Assistant to help coordinate the deployment, and maintenance of in-store media units and installations across the UK.
This junior role focuses on providing essential support to ensure successful project execution and smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn within a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A “typical” day might include any of the following:
Installation Support:
* Help coordinate the deployment of in-store media units, ensuring schedules are adhered to.
* Assist in monitoring installation progress and flagging any operational issues to senior team members.
* Support troubleshooting efforts for on-site challenges during deployments.
* Prepared to work ad hoc hours as required to support installation timings
Retailer and Store Coordination:
* Provide administrative support in scheduling and coordinating retailer and store requirements for installations and maintenance.
* Assist in resolving minor operational issues raised by retailers under supervision.
Support Operations for In-Store Ticketing:
* Manage the UK Connected Store support contact number and track call queries
* Monitor Barrows platform, manage ticketing, troubleshoot & resolve issues remotely
* Phone calls to Stores to troubleshoot connectivity issues and other ad hoc requests as they arise
* Work closely with the Ops team to assign daily support and maintenance tasks and coordinate a network of field technicians and support representatives across the UK
Content
* Assist with uploading new video content to the Barrows platform
* Assist with campaign creation, scheduling and deployment of content on the Barrows platform across different brands and retailers.
Project Assistance:
* Support project tracking efforts, updating timelines and deliverables in project management tools.
* Communicate status updates to the operations team.
* Contribute to maintaining organized project records.
Team Collaboration:
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including logistics and installation teams, to support operational tasks.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance operational knowledge.
Qualifications:
Education:
* Degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, or a related field.
Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience in a support or administrative role, preferably within retail, logistics, or operations.
* Skills:
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Experience with project management tools like Monday.com or Jira.
* Proficient with Google Workspace
* Basic knowledge of digital signage or ticketing technologies and integrations
