INTO Stirling, located on the beautiful University of Stirling campus, is seeking a dedicated Academic Support and Finance Officer to join their team.
As the Academic Support and Finance Officer, you’ll play a central role in keeping our academic and financial services running smoothly. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with international students, excels in organisational and administrative tasks, and wants to contribute to a dynamic and supportive educational environment. While prior finance experience isn’t required, strong Excel skills and a desire to learn are essential, as you'll receive training in our finance systems.
What You’ll Do:
Academic Support:
1. Collaborate with the academic team to coordinate timetables, track key academic dates, and manage essential processes to support both staff and students.
2. Ensure the smooth administration of student records, grading, and registration processes.
3. Work closely with the student support and academic management teams, creating a seamless support structure for students.
Finance Support:
1. Serve as the primary contact for students on finance-related queries, providing accurate invoicing and managing payment plans.
2. Track outstanding payments, monitor accounts, and follow up as needed with students, parents, and educational agents.
3. Support the Centre’s daily financial operations, including cash sheet management, petty cash handling, and regular financial reconciliations.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to make an impact. You’ll be organised and efficient, with the ability to balance competing priorities thanks to your excellent time-management skills. As an effective communicator, you’ll handle sensitive conversations with respect and engage thoughtfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. You’ll bring proficiency in IT—particularly Excel—and have a knack for setting up systems that streamline administration. Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for student support, with a genuine interest in working with international students to enhance their experience.
