Legal Secretary - Personal Injury Department
About the Firm: Our client, a distinguished law firm, is currently seeking a highly skilled Legal Secretary to join their Personal Injury department. This role is suited to a hands-on professional who excels in client interaction, file management, and providing comprehensive secretarial support within a legal environment.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with the Personal Injury team, taking on key responsibilities such as time recording, dictation, note-taking, assembling legal bundles, and managing day-to-day secretarial tasks. This position offers a hybrid working model, with three days in the office and two days working from home, following an initial period of full-time office work to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate client communications, ensuring professionalism and responsiveness.
* Assist in the preparation and formatting of legal documents and correspondence.
* Handle time recording and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
* Provide dictation, note-taking, and general secretarial support to solicitors.
* Assemble and manage legal bundles and maintain organised filing systems.
* Support in-office operations and liaise with external stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably within a Personal Injury department.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in time recording systems and dictation software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle confidential information with discretion.
* Familiarity with legal terminology and document preparation.
