Randstad C&P are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to work for a local, family-run regional contractor based in Bedfordshire! The role will be working across a variety of commercial contracts including office refurbishments, education projects and healthcare schemes. Suitable candidate will have experience working for smaller contractors in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities:
1. Initiate and finalise contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
2. Monitor and analyse project expenses meticulously, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints
3. Establish stringent quality control measures, conducting regular inspections to maintain high standards
4. Act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, facilitating transparent communication channels
5. Evaluate proposed changes to project scope, meticulously assessing their impact on budget and schedule, and managing change orders accordingly
6. Develop comprehensive project schedules, efficiently allocating available resources
7. Conduct thorough risk assessments, proactively identifying potential issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies
Requirements:
8. Strong experience in contract management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of overseeing contracts for various commercial opportunities.
9. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
11. Comprehensive understanding of construction contracts, procurement practices, and relevant legal frameworks, with the ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts effectively.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
