Application Deadline: 14 November 2024 Department: Claims Management Location: Stoke Description Team Leader Location: Hybrid at either Glasgow, Stoke-on-Trent or Leeds Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday Successful candidates will be required to attend one of our offices at least once a week, at either Glasgow, Stoke-on-Trent or Leeds. Our Opportunity: Davies are looking to recruit a talent Team Leader to join our Casualty team. Joining Davies as a Team Leader means you will supervise and support colleagues, handle allocated claims and ensure that all claims are handled in accordance with client requirements, therefore, experience in the industry is preferred. What will your day look like: Liaison: Communicate with insurers, policyholders, and brokers. Investigation: Handle allocated claims, either from your desk or by referring them to a field adjuster for on-site investigation when necessary. Evidence Gathering: Obtain all relevant evidence and documentation. Resolution: Determine appropriate actions to resolve each case. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, advising on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics as needed. Negotiation: Negotiate settlements within agreed authority limits. Professional Correspondence: Maintain proactive communication with all parties involved. Adherence to Procedures: Handle cases according to documented procedures and client requirements. Reserve Management: Regularly review and maintain proper reserves. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on technical changes relevant to your role, including participating in company facilitated training programs. Knowledge and Abilities: Experience handling Noise Induced Hearing Loss Claims. Excellent management, planning and organisational skills. Experienced in leading a diverse team. Must be a strong confident communicator. A good negotiator. Leadership and motivational skills Proficiency in managing Claims from cradle to grave. Experience with the investigation of Liability Claims. Knowledge of how to value injury claims. Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal. Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Collaborative team player. Management of personal caseload. Demonstrated adaptability and versatility. Exceptional communication abilities across various levels.
