UK FINANCE MANAGER
18 Months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity leave cover)
Salary commensurate to role | L33 7SY
Job Purpose
To oversee UK divisions of the Colloids Group and assist local Finance functions in producing accounts in accordance with Group and FRS102 reporting requirements. Providing accurate financial information in a timely manner to enable business decision making. Maintaining accurate financial records.
Working with the Group Financial Controller to ensure internal systems are robust and accurate, and to constantly review reporting packages to ensure they are sufficient to meet the demands of the business.
Responsibilities
* Month end accounts preparation
* Cash flow forecasting and management
* Overseeing the preparation, and submitting VAT returns
* Annual Budgeting and regular Forecasting
* Stock Valuation controls
* Intercompany Ledger Reconciliations within Colloids and Tosaf Group
* Management of Fixed Asset registers
* Year End Statutory Audit
* Ensuring reporting consistency across all UK sites, whilst meeting the local needs of each site
* Line management of others within the department, where appropriate
* Reporting for both internal and external stakeholders
* Adhoc projects as and when required
Requirements
* Recognised accountancy qualification ACCA, ACA or CIMA (preferred)
* Previous experience in a similar position essential
* Analytical Mind
* Experience with Microsoft Excel; Pivot tables and Vlookup etc
* Self-starter, enthusiastic and proactive
* Strong modelling and analytical skills
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently whilst also part of a wider team
