About the Role:
Are you an experienced production planner with strong scheduling skills? Do you thrive in working within a busy production environment? Are you looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Production Scheduler to join our operations team based in Hereford.
The role is office based but may be required in an FMCG labour intensive factory environment which is noisy and refrigerated in some areas manufacturing short shelf-life products where hygiene standards are critical. As a member of the Planning team, you will have to be comfortable in a fast moving, high volume, and frequently changing environment.
Working Hours - 0900-1100 Friday, 0430 – 1430 Saturday and Sunday
What will you be doing as Scheduler at Avara?
As a Scheduler you’ll take part in the Scheduling of the production lines and the materials required for product assembly. You will operate in a fast moving, high volume, and frequently changing environment where there is significant amount of incoming data from various sources which requires the ability to analyse, process, make decisions and communicate effectively.
What will your key responsibilities as Production Scheduler include?
1. Creating and managing daily scheduling processes ensuring planned targets are met.
2. Pivotal interface between planning (supply management) and production to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
3. Key support to production management on daily operational deliverance.
4. Optimise and balance production lines for best efficiency.
5. Commercial focus on minimising waste and optimising raw material usage.
6. Continual tracking of actual performance data against plan to ensure corrections can be made to keep on course for planned attainment, and to use this data to continuously improve personal and functional performance.
7. Communicate in an effective and timely manner.
What you’ll need to be successful:
