About the Role: We have an opening in the NPD team at our site in Carlisle which would be ideal for a recent graduate, or somebody looking for an entry-level role in food manufacturing. Our site in Carlisle specialises in the production of a wide range of chilled meals for major retailers. It’s a busy, fast-paced environment and you’d be joining a market leading business offering plenty of opportunities for development and progression. We’re currently looking for two Product Technologists in a varied role where you’ll gain exposure to and learn about all elements of product development. Working as part of a supportive team, some of your responsibilities will include: Supporting the team to ensure products are developed and launched on time and in line with customers’ requirements. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business (operations, technical, commercial) and our customers’ developers and technologists to deliver the NPD agenda. Organising and implementing factory trials, capturing and compiling data, and supporting with the generation of packaging formats and artwork details. Ensuring compliance with all food safety standards. Developing your knowledge and understanding of the site’s manufacturing capabilities and processes and identifying areas for improvement. About You: A recent graduate in Food Science or similar, ideally with prior food manufacturing experience although this is not essential. Experience or good understanding of product research and develo pment. Proactive and keen to learn. Strong attention to detail. Good IT skills, proficient using MS Office.
