We are recruiting for an Audit Manager on behalf of a well-established accountancy firm who are renowned for developing staff and helping expand their skill set. There are 25 staff at differing levels of their studies including several Trainees, who tend to be school-leavers or graduates.
The firm offers a full range of accounting, tax and audit services to a variety of clients, from individuals and sole traders to small businesses through to larger entities.

As Audit Manager your responsibilities will include:
* Manage a diverse portfolio of clients and becoming their primary point of contact – your portfolio will consist of both new and established clients and you will be encouraged to develop further revenue streams within it as well as helping to bring in new clients to the firm
* Lead and manage audit assignments to completion, manage people and delivery of the assignment, budgets, billing recovery and client engagement and satisfaction
* Develop and apply your technical and commercial knowledge to provide expert advice and exceed client expectations
* Responding to ad hoc client queries
* Provide support on tenders, proposals and other business development activities to promote the firm and develop your profile externally
* Contribute to the management of the audit team, audit procedures and, more widely, to the whole compliance team
* Line manage a small number of more junior team members
* Consider technical audit and accounting developments and provide training to ensure the team are updated so that high standards are maintained

* Be ACA or ACCA fully qualified with significant post qualified experience gained within an accountancy practice environment
* In depth knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
* Be IT literate with good working knowledge of audit and accountancy software
