Job Description
The Permanence Team is looking to recruit a Social Worker for the Adoption Hub. Adoption Social Workers are responsible for supporting children as they transition into the care of their adoptive families. They also provide support to birth parents, special guardians, and other relatives.
Based within the Adoption Hub, you will undertake Step-Parent Adoption assessments, Special Guardianship assessments, and assessments for special guardianship support. As part of the Permanence Team, you will work closely with colleagues in the Fostering Hubs. We are looking for candidates who are energetic and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The role emphasizes safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children we work with. Given the diverse nature of the role and the sensitive work with families, suitable candidates must be adaptable and equipped to manage the emotional demands of the role while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
