Brief Description
Route Services is a division of Network Rail that provides the Routes with services so they can help Network Rail deliver a better railway for a better Britain. This role sits within Supply Chain Operations (SCO), an area of the business which supplies and delivers the logistics, materials, components, rail and road fleet that enable the maintenance and renewal of the railway.
About The Role (External)
In this role you’ll assist with the delivery of efficient and effective facilities management for the facility and its assets, in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations. You’ll provide day-to-day administrative support to the facility and all users.
Key accountabilities include:
* Support the depot team to successfully deliver all depot specific documentation, plans, reports and records required.
* Attend meetings to document and report on actions, issues and progress against depot plans.
* Collate, administer and act as the focal point for all depot related documentation and technical records in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations.
* Administer and maintain records for all training, competencies and assessments in accordance with company policies and statutory regulations.
* Administer and maintain the personal tools and test equipment inventories and collate records of checks.
* Provide administration assistance to the depot team.
* Utilise financial and procurement systems and act as Local Purchasing Agent (where directed) by ordering stationary and other office consumables as required.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
Essential
* Appropriate experience in facilities management.
* Ability to develop working relationships.
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
* Experience of working within a team.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
* Experience within a customer service role.
* Knowledge and experience of records management.
How To Apply (External)
Vacancy type: This role is a 6 month secondment/fixed-term contract post with the potential to extend or become permanent (unless a suitable redeployee is identified).
Location: This position is based at Whitemoor National Train Materials Recycling Centre, Cambridgeshire. Office based, 5 days per week.
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Salary range: £25,000 to £26,000 per annum pro rata, depending on skills and experience.
