Role: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 8.30am – 5pm.
This role will support the Buying Team, and is a demanding fast-paced role which requires the successful candidate to be extremely organised.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
1. Working closely with the Head of Procurement to ensure the smooth running of the buying department.
2. Email and liaise with suppliers daily.
3. Raising purchase orders and placing orders with suppliers in the UK, Europe, and Far East.
4. Raising and accurately processing a large number of Purchase Orders for many customers.
5. Confirming Proforma’s and order confirmations.
6. Work with the Sales and Design teams to ensure suppliers have all the necessary information for planned orders, to enable production and deliveries to progress efficiently.
7. Manage and maintain department critical paths, involving chasing relevant suppliers and communicating any changes to the relevant team.
8. Identify and communicate any potential disruptions.
9. Plan and arrange deliveries from port to warehouse and to ensure timely arrivals.
10. Monitoring deliveries, following the goods through Customs clearance.
11. Manage and maintain shipping and product trackers.
12. Checking artwork to ensure agreement with ingredient lists and safety data sheets.
13. Management of samples.
Skills, experience & requirements:
1. A passion and interest in Buying, with keen desire to develop a career in this area.
2. Strong IT skills, in particular Excel and other MS Office applications.
3. Team player with communication skills.
4. Strong attention to detail.
