Our aim is to review and strengthen our existing support and development opportunities for Social Workers and provide a strong voice for the social work profession. We want an enthusiastic motivated person to mentor a group of our learners across adult settings to reach their learning goals. The Learning Lead will help our learners build on their existing skills and knowledge and using a holistic assessment approach, enable them to reach their full potential. This will include undertaking reflective individual and group supervision, organising and supporting review meetings, liaising with each learner s line manager in terms of practice and development, undertaking direct observations and offering a range of workshops to equip the learner with a clear understanding of social work practice in Bolton. About You We are looking for an experienced Social Worker with at least 3-years post qualifying experience of working with adults with varying needs including mental health issues. You would ideally be a stage 2 qualified Practice Educator, or currently working towards stage 2, with experience of mentoring, supervision and working with learners supporting them to develop and grow. You will have a knowledge of the assessment process for social work apprentices, students and NQSW s as well as understanding about adult learning and barriers to learning. You will have a strong understanding of what best practice looks like and be passionate about inspiring and improving adult s lives, as well as the continuous professional development of social work practitioners. Good people skills are a must with a creative and flexible approach to work and the drive and motivation to work with learners enabling them to develop and succeed. You will work both with individual learner s offering reflective supervision and the group offering workshops and support sessions. You will be expected to respond to queries, dilemmas and concerns from both learners and managers and be able to challenge managers and other professionals when needed. You will have knowledge and experience of Safeguarding and of legislation, regulations and guidance relating to adult social care together with an ability to assess and manage risk.
