We are currently recruiting for a number of Inspection Engineers to cover a specified region within the UK, specifically the South West. Reporting to the Senior Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for thorough examinations in line with LOLER regulations of our own fleet.
The role includes raising all defects contributing to the safe use of the equipment and identifying observations that could lead to possible future machine failure. You will support and ensure full compliance with LOLER regulations for all equipment.
In return, you will receive a competitive salary, company van, 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Westfield Health Cash Plan, Life Assurance, auto-enrolment pension scheme, and lifestyle benefits – discount on selected high street stores.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working with the Senior Inspection Manager to ensure all inspections are compliant with regulations prior to expiry dates.
2. Attending monthly performance review meetings with the Senior Inspector to review current performance against set KPIs. Actively participate in process improvement suggestions and provide feedback on any root cause issues that prevent success.
3. Abiding by LOLER inspection frequencies as per regulations, while assessing if inspections need to be more frequent based on environmental conditions where the machine is operated.
4. Ensuring all A defects are raised and the machine is quarantined until addressed, making the local manager/customer aware as part of the debrief.
5. Raising any A/B defects to the central tech services department and supporting fellow engineers with knowledge and understanding of said defects to minimize downtime or customer impact (NPS).
6. Completing small repairs following a completed inspection when the site/location makes future attendance of a separate engineer non-beneficial to the company/customer, and pre-approved by the Senior Inspection Engineer.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. Full UK driving license.
2. CAP qualified or equivalent.
3. IPAF Demonstrator or operator license.
4. Experience of inspections of Power Access equipment (desirable).
5. Customer-focused with the ability to effectively manage expectations, delivering strong customer service levels.
6. IT literate.
7. Willing to travel within the specified region and able to provide occasional holiday/peak period cover in other regions as required.
