About our Maritime business and team:
Here in Liverpool, we’re part of Royal HaskoningDHV’s UK wide Maritime team working locally, nationally, and worldwide. We thrive as a team of multi-disciplinary engineers and project managers and are perfectly located to serve our local clients whilst being aligned with our UK and overseas offices to deliver projects around the world.
Our Liverpool Maritime team includes Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, Electrical, Security, Telecommunications and Control Systems Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Asset Management professionals, working alongside our Environment and Resilience colleagues.
As a Project Manager in our team, you will work on a variety of Maritime projects for a variety of Clients. Ideally you will join us with a relevant technical background (see disciplines above) and a keen interest for progressing your career into project management, having the drive to represent your project team with the full range of clients we work for, alongside the ability to make technical judgement relative to the work being delivered.
We’re able to offer a hybrid working arrangement, further, to undertaking a period of familiarisation with your immediate and wider team in the Liverpool Office.
Role Context:
This position will focus on the project management and delivery of medium to large scale projects. This will require someone with the ability to deliver quality, robust deliverables on time and within budget. This role will provide exposure to local and global projects alike, whilst working with our leading professionals within the Maritime industry.
We’d be looking for you to be able to demonstrate the following:
1. The ability to manage and lead a portfolio of medium size projects.
2. Commercial (financial & contract) management.
3. Pro-active change control and management.
4. Project programme management.
5. Effective project planning documentation (PEP / BEP).
6. Risk Management.
7. Effective resource management.
8. The ability to ensure compliance with internal procedures.
9. The ability to monitor delivery against the client brief, whilst reporting internally and to the client.
10. The ability to undertake risk assessments for site based activities.
11. Procurement of suppliers for provision of specialist services.
12. The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
13. Experience with contributing to successful proposals.
The ability to secure new business by winning work through successful delivery to existing clients.
Required skills and experience:
1. A degree within a relevant sector.
2. Relevant technical background.
3. Relevant Project Management background.
4. NEC Professional Service Contract (or similar).
5. Either obtained or working towards a relevant professional qualification.
6. Leadership skills and experience.
7. Technical judgment and problem solving.
8. Excellent communication skills.
9. An individual who is pro-active and anticipates and addresses any issues that arise.
10. The ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally as projects require.
11. Right to work in the UK.
