Job Description
As part of our Private Client Tax team, you will combine hands-on practical experience such as advising on tax-efficient strategies or helping clients with financial planning while studying.
Progression within this team is rapid, with responsibility from an early stage. By the second year, you will take on a more senior role with smaller clients and assist in supervising new trainees. As your experience grows, you may have opportunities to engage in other assignments like control reviews and due diligence projects.
During your training contract, you will study towards the ATT/CTA qualifications and achieve the government-recognized Level 7 Apprenticeship qualification, developing essential soft skills sought in the professional services sector.
You will start studying for your first professional exams shortly after joining, supported by tuition from an acclaimed provider and a qualified team. You will have the resources to study for these exams and develop your knowledge to support your work.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with clients and third parties to obtain necessary information
* Preparing basic tax returns or repayment claim forms
* Advising clients of their tax liabilities and related matters
* Assisting in the preparation of tax advice, including technical research, strategic planning, and drafting reports
* Dealing with correspondence from clients, HMRC, and other third parties via letter, email, or phone
Qualifications

* Be committed to completing the ATT/CTA qualifications on a Level 7 apprenticeship
* Have a minimum of 112 UCAS points in your top three A Levels (or equivalent), excluding General Studies
* Achieve at least Grade 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths at GCSE
Learning & Development
You will be supported in completing your qualification, gaining finance knowledge, accountancy skills, and real-world business experience. You’ll join a cohort with personal support, including a buddy. Your training will be supported by a leading UK provider, and you will be given time to study while developing a variety of skills to become a well-rounded advisor. Our dedicated Learning & Development team and your department’s training contact will guide you to realize your potential from day one.
