About the Candidate
Applicants should be qualified in a suitable subject degree and ideally have some experience of working within the sector. Those without a teaching qualification will need to be willing to work towards this. Within the personal statement, provide practical examples of how you fulfil the person specification and how you can work to promote the college's core values. You will be a team player who is forward thinking, creative and resilient to the nature of Further Education and understands the full scope of the programme leader role, which is not only teaching but successfully leading a study programme. You will have excellent people skills to ensure our stunning reputation with external stakeholders is maintained.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Musical Theatre/Drama specialist, who can teach singing alongside performance, to join our ambitious team at Sunderland College, within our Arts Academy. We are seeking to add to our existing team with an experienced drama programme lead and lecturer who can teach level 1 to 6 across our Performance courses and has industry knowledge and teaching experience. You will be a key member of a collaborative team that focuses on providing excellent learner experiences through outstanding pedagogy. The successful candidate will have a passion for the industry, able to teach singing as well as performance and the experience to ensure our learners are industry ready with the right skills and knowledge for the workplace. The successful candidate will be delivering at our Sunderland campus in our state-of-the-art Arts Academy.
