Queen Mary’s seeks an inspiring Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and manage the Marketing, Admissions and Communications department. The post holder will report directly to the Head and will be a member of the Leadership Team. You will be responsible for outstanding marketing, promotion of Queen Mary’s School to all stakeholders, communications, external and internal, and for the recruitment of pupils across the age-range.
The role has a significant strategic element to communicate Queen Mary’s vision within and beyond the school community.

The new Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications will be an innovative and visionary leader with intellectual acumen and authority, capable of effectively involving pupils, staff, parents, and stakeholders in achieving the school's objectives.
Essential Qualifications:
● Educated to Degree level.
● Significant success of working at a strategic level in a marketing, communications, or admissions-related role.
● Proven experience of developing and implementing impactful strategies to align with organisational values.

The Department
The role will involve managing and developing the department to ensure a comprehensive marketing, admissions and communications strategy for the School which increases the number of applications, raises brand awareness and celebrates our success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the department, shaping the structure of the team to meet the school’s future needs.
Inspire the Marketing, Admissions, and Communications team, coaching and nurturing colleagues to deliver to the highest standards in all outputs and communications with stakeholders.
As a member of the Leadership Team, collaborate with the Head and senior colleagues, providing appropriate advice and support relating to the Marketing, Admissions and Communications strategies to promote the school.
Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement strategic plans for Marketing, Admissions and Communications, with clear action plans and targets to meet the future needs of the School.
Monitor and report on these plans regularly, measuring their effectiveness, and developing proactive interventions to ensure that targets are met.
Regularly undertake market and competitor research and analysis to inform future planning.
Maintain a good awareness of national policies relating to educational and economic developments and determine any impact on pupil recruitment targets and strategies.
Manage the Marketing, Admissions and Communications budget effectively.
Attend termly Marketing Governors’ meetings.
Marketing
Develop an inspirational marketing strategy, including digital and social media, to strengthen the image of the School in the wider community.
Act as brand guardian and seek to promote the school in accordance with its mission and vision. Ensure this image is adopted and maintained through all marketing activities and communication
Create, develop and implement the School’s strategic marketing plans.
Manage the delivery of the School’s content marketing and PR strategy including developing and maintaining effective relationships with local and national media.
Develop marketing approaches to position Queen Mary’s clearly in its chosen markets
Develop and manage the School’s website, including the CMS and Google Analytics
Develop and oversee the implementation of the Social Media Strategy
Admissions
Provide leadership and vision, overseeing the admissions process from end-to-end.
Report Admissions numbers and statistics to the Head and the Governors’ Marketing Committee.
Develop clear, efficient systems for the annual Admissions cycle and communicate these to the team and wider staff.
Oversee the management of UKVI compliance for international pupils and the Admissions Register.
Lead the Scholarship assessment process.
Have oversight of and lead all Admissions events and activity, reporting outcomes to the Leadership Team.
Communications
Develop, lead and manage the Communications Strategy incorporating whole school communications to all stakeholders.
Encourage strong and efficient communication across the whole school community.
Manage crisis communication and reputation management, ensuring the school's image remains positive and consistent.
Develop and implement the ‘’Taking, Storing and Using Images of Pupils Policy” ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
Administration and Whole School Events
Lead the organisation and promotion of whole school events.
Act as the key liaison for Queen Mary’s Friends.
Manage the coordination of the whole school events calendar.
Development and Fund Raising
Create the Development Strategy with input from the Head, Bursar and Governors
Oversee the implementation of the Development Strategy
Report outcomes to the Head, Bursar and Governors
Other responsibilities:
In addition, the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications may be required to:
· Provide administrative support to the Head
· Support other departments within the School from time to time as requested by the Head
· Complete, with priority, any other reasonable tasks as required by the Head
The duties currently assigned to this role include:
· Undertake supervision duties as required
· To attend staff briefings
· To attend all major school activities, as appropriate (including INSET)
· To participate in the School appraisal programme
Safeguarding
In line with our commitment to safeguarding, all members of staff have a duty of care towards Queen Mary’s pupils and are expected to report any such concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
