What to Expect
We’re looking for an ambitious Strategy and Analytics Manager to join us here at Raylo. As the first Strategy and Analytics team member solely focussed on Device Strategy, you’ll drive our device trading P&L (£100M in 2025, projected to be £1B by 2029) and the forecasting of future device values. Using data-driven insights, you’ll analyse how we can better understand future device value, optimise device return strategies and drive the P&L generated through trading devices.
Our Device Strategy is core to Raylo’s mission of driving sustainable, circular consumption of retail electronics and you’ll play a key role in accomplishing this mission. This is a truly unique opportunity for an aspiring data and strategy analytics leader to influence the fundamental operations in a category defining business.
In 2025, Raylo stands out with its groundbreaking approach to retail electronics and has massive ambitions for growth in the UK and internationally. You’ll collaborate closely with the leadership team and co-founders, C-Suite, and senior business leaders. Your ideas and leadership will play a critical role in shaping the future of a key strategic advantage for Raylo.
What You’ll Do
* Reporting to the VP Strategy and Analytics, you’ll work closely with other internal partners to define how we build a globally leading device strategy.
* Your technical and analytical skills will mean that you’ll champion data-informed decisions that drive sustainable growth for Raylo, and in time build a high-performing team that aligns with our mission opportunities.
* You’ll be energised by collaborating with internal and external partners within operations, finance and engineering to deliver meaningful change based on the insights that your data drives.
* You’ll interact heavily with co-founders and external investors to define performance goals for our device strategy and monitor performance against these.
* Your work will directly drive the sustainable, circular consumption of consumer electronics, which sits at the heart of Raylo’s mission.
You’ll Succeed With
* A proven track record with 3-6 years of experience in analytics or data-focussed strategy roles.
* Using your technical skills (SQL, Python) to get into the details of our device values, leveraging internal and external datasets to deliver actionable insight into critical business functions.
* The ability to also step back from the detail of the data and think strategically while delivering as part of a larger team.
* Collaborating in a fast-paced environment across the business with diverse skill sets and personality types. You have great stakeholder management skills and love using your analytical skills to champion data-driven decision-making and educate others.
* Taking responsibility and ownership for the work the entire area - if you’re not getting it done, no one is.
* Experience with a fast-paced environment, ideally startup/scaleup or Fintech experience.
