We’re looking for the right people to join our small team to assist with our centralised staff-scheduling responsibilities. As one of our Duty Planners you will help us maintain operational resilience through careful duty planning, forward scheduling and abstraction management using specialist Oracle / Capita Duty Management Software. We will train you to use the system and to understand the complexities of officer and staff working time rules and regulations.
You will help us manage nearly 2500 personnel and will field and resolve enquiries from all levels of the organisation using face to face conversations, email, phone, messaging and video conferencing facilities. As a team player you will help Cleveland Police deploy the right people with the right skills to the right place at the right time and keep vulnerable people safe in the Tees Valley area.
Initially the role will be office based while undertaking one to one practical learning. We will be with you every step of the way as you broaden your awareness of the multiple complexities of scheduling and rosters, you will be provided with a laptop and mobile phone. Opportunities for flexible and agile working (including working from home) will develop as you gain your proficiency and confidence. The role may involve weekend working as part of any flexible / agile arrangements.
We are looking for people with proven customer service skills. Experience of collating and researching data from computerised and / or manual record systems and of using Duty Management and HR systems would be advantageous.
