The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources within the hotel, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and creating a positive work environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to handle sensitive employee issues with tact and confidentiality. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement human resources policies and procedures in accordance with company guidelines. - Manage all recruitment activities including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, making job offers, and onboarding new employees. - Maintain accurate employee records including contracts, personal information, attendance records etc. - Administer payroll process in collaboration with finance department. - Ensure compliance with employment laws by staying up-to-date on legislation changes. - Conduct regular performance evaluations to identify training needs or areas for improvement among employees. - Implement effective employee relations strategies to enhance morale and maintain a positive work environment. - Coordinate disciplinary actions when necessary while ensuring adherence to company policies. - Oversee training programs for both new hires as well as ongoing development of existing staff members. Skills: - Proven experience as an HR Manager within the hospitality industry is essential. - Excellent knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations is required - Strong understanding of recruitment processes including candidate sourcing techniques and interviewing skills - Familiarity with payroll administration procedures is preferred - Ability to handle confidential information discreetly - Exceptional interpersonal skills - Effective communication abilities (both written and verbal) - Excellent organizational skills - Strong leadership qualities Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field is required. A master's degree would be advantageous. - Professional certification such as CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) is preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management roles within the hospitality industry. - Proven track record of successfully implementing HR strategies and policies.
