I am looking for an experienced Electromagnetics Design Engineer to join a leading Aerospace manufacturer for both commercial and military markets. This position will be responsible for the full project lifecycle including the design, development, simulation, and testing of associated system antennas. Must be eligible for Security Check Clearance.

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and 8.30am to 2pm Friday (Flexible)

Responsibilities:
* Ownership of full project lifecycle, involving capability and component development and qualification, simulation, design, and testing in conjunction with associated system antennas.
* Act as lead engineer when allocated to selected new product designs.
* EM technology scanning and opportunity development, including research identification and management.
* Derive system and RF requirements from high-level requirements.
* Support legacy products in response to customer queries.
* Identify relevant emerging technologies and direct associated research activity for new product specification development and assessment with customers, product RF design and analysis, and full-scale RF test of new designs using a suite of test ranges that accommodate mechanically scanned, electronically scanned, and fixed antenna systems.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:
* Degree (preferably higher degree) in electrical/electronic/antenna engineering or physics.
* Experience in RF and antenna product design.
* Experience in the design of antennas (aerospace and defense industry preferred).
* Breadth of Radio Frequency design experience (typical frequency range 2 to 40 GHz).
* Practical and demonstrable experience in the use of full wave simulation packages e.g. CST Microwave Studio or Ansys HFSS.
* Experience in MATLAB programming.
* Possess a ‘hands-on’ approach in order to perform qualification and product acceptance testing as required.
