What's involved with this role: Role: Health and Safety Manager Job Ref: QAD 2618/1001 Pay Rate: Competitive Market Rate Hours per week: 37 hours Contract Length: Initial contract 2-3 months, potentially extended Location: Based from Home with travel expected nationwide We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a National Assurance Team, ensuring the effective delivery of Health & Safety services across a diverse and complex portfolio. This role demands a professional with strong stakeholder and client management skills, underpinned by a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualifications, such as CMIOSH. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in auditing, practical negotiation skills, and proficiency with IT systems to analyse management information effectively. You will play a lead role in incident and accident management, statutory compliance reporting, contractor oversight, and the development of streamlined processes. Key responsibilities: Provision of on-site advice regarding specific Health, Safety matters to include incident and accident management. Develop and manage the Workplace Services Audit and Assurance Programme. Support the Assurance Manager in developing robust statutory compliance reporting across our estate for quarterly client reporting. Work with clients to develop their understanding of their own roles and responsibilities, ensuring no gaps. Assist the FM Team in Managing on-site contractors and occupiers to develop accident and incident reduction strategies. Assist in the management of SHEF contractors. Support the review of current arrangements and systems, providing recommendations for streamlined process and potential solutions to any identified gaps. Review and audit key contractor activities including review of RAMS and Method Statements Support the Assurance Lead in developing and delivering Health & Safety training for Operational delivery teams Key requirements: Experienced with Stakeholder/Client Management & interaction Hold NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent and similar industry certifications (CMIOSH etc.) Previous Auditing Experience Conversant with IT systems and the ability to analyse Management Information to inform decision- making. Practical experience in negotiation skills that have achieved positive outcomes.
