As we expand, we’re looking for a UK Agronomist at Soil Capital, and you’ll join the wider Agronomy team, while working closely with our other agronomists in the UK. The location preference for a suitable candidate is England. Hybrid or office based opportunities available (Hammersmith, London). Role Overview The advertised role is largely a desk based role, however you will be expected to attend farm and corporate events, liaise largely with farmers and manage our team of external agronomists. You’ll play a crucial role in managing and supporting our ever growing external agronomy team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a driven individual that can or has the potential to effectively manage people, to return a timely and high standard of work. The role also offers good opportunities to pivot into other roles within the business, particularly with the opportunity to upskill to an agronomy role. Key Responsibilities Lead the daily responsibilities of guiding farmers through their carbon assessments. Manage and liaise with external agronomists (5) who are solely responsible for doing carbon assessments. Support the other teams in the business by providing updates and reports of carbon assessment progression Contribute to the wider agronomy team with ideas and recommendations for improving farmer transition to regenerative farming Contribute and liaise with the product team to improve our platform, mySoilCapital. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, particularly with many of those speaking in their second language. Motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team. A history of people management, or a proactivity in seeking to upskill.
