Description
We are looking for an ambitious and personable Advertising Sales Consultant to join our team, representing our Dorset Living portfolio of lifestyle magazines. This permanent role combines field sales and account management, focusing on developing client relationships across Dorset, particularly in key areas such as Bournemouth, Weymouth and the surrounding towns and villages.
As part of this role, you’ll spend time visiting clients, so familiarity with the area, a valid driving license, and a passion for supporting local businesses is essential.
Working Pattern: Full-time, hybrid role with one day a week in the Bournemouth office. However, Part-time hours would also be considered and salary to be pro-rated to reflect reduced working hours.

Key Responsibilities
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients across the Dorset region.
* Drive advertising sales for the Dorset Living portfolio.
* Conduct face-to-face meetings with clients to understand their needs and propose tailored advertising solutions.
* Proactively seek new business opportunities through outreach and networking.
* Collaborate closely with editorial and marketing teams to deliver impactful campaigns.
* Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations.
* Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
* Keep accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Proven track record in magazine or media sales (Desirable but proven experience in selling/ representing luxury brands would also be considered.)
* Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities.
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
* Good local knowledge of Dorset, particularly the key focus areas.
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
