As a team:
You will be part of a team which implements Public and Private Cloud technologies and builds and transforms client infrastructure services. This role may either be based from a multi-client delivery centre or at client sites for extended periods when required.
In our team we are seeking an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer with:
1. Deep technical know-how and hands-on experience implementing integrated automation solutions using a broad range of DevOps tool sets.
2. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform is preferred.
3. Expertise with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment and management using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Git, Puppet, Chef, Maven, Ant, Ivy, UrbanCode, Docker and Kubernetes.
4. Experience in DevSecOps eg secret management, tools integration to harden the baseline, privilege management etc.
5. Associate-level cloud certification in AWS, GCP or Azure.
6. Hands-on experience in AWS, GCP or Azure cloud technologies.
7. Expertise in designing and implementing continuous delivery and/or DevOps solutions.
8. Experience with approaches and tooling for automated build, delivery, and release of software.
9. Strong knowledge in developing integrated toolset solutions within an enterprise wide environment.
As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will:
1. Work on multiple projects as part of a wider cloud capability team.
2. Get DevOps up and running by overseeing the execution of tools and processes in the DevOps toolchain, and promote the DevOps culture in our client organizations.
3. Help customers with DevOps projects by providing them with technical, consultative, and delivery services.
4. Serve as a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing clients with objective, practical, and relevant advice, identifying opportunities for optimisation.
5. Work with the development teams to meet acceptance criteria, gathering and documenting the requirements.
6. Help lead continuous integration, delivery, automation, and infrastructure-as-code efforts for multiple cloud service offerings.
7. Where required, set up and manage the operation of project development and test environments as well as the software configuration management processes for the entire application development life cycle.
8. Help client's transition to DevOps by driving adoption of tools and practices, and by directing elements of the DevOps implementation.
9. Resolve and escalate issues as necessary.
10. Undertake necessary training and certifications on the latest technologies.
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
1. Familiarity with AWS/GCP/Azure CLI and SDK tools.
2. Knowledge of Linux and Windows server operating systems.
3. Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell & Shell.
4. Strong incident fault finding skills and experience.
5. Familiarity with ITSM, Agile methodologies and tools eg Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow.
6. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Set yourself apart:
1. Expertise in deploying and managing a DevOps environment as per best practices.
2. Ability to configure automation using cloud native services.
3. Experience in extending on-premises environment to cloud in a hybrid setup.
4. Experience in migrating workloads to cloud.
5. Experience in Azure RedHat OpenShift and other Azure/AWS PaaS.
