KGNPillinger are manufacturers of bespoke water pumping equipment and stainless-steel fabricators. We design, fabricate, electro-mechanically assemble, install and maintain packages that do everything from pumping water up high-rise buildings, through to pumping effluent around sewage treatment works. Our client base includes most of the UK’s Water Authorities and their affiliated contractors, international construction companies and numerous house-builders. In 2021 we moved to newly built factory premises in Merstham. Since moving, KGN have been in a period of sustained growth so this, coupled with the start of the water industry entering their largest ever regulatory spend period next month, leads us to believe we are set to continue this growth pattern for the foreseeable future. We are looking to add another design engineer to our team. The role involves utilising AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to produce quality mechanical designs, within time and budget constraints. The successful candidate would generate conceptual designs for proposals on projects, preparing design layouts using 3D drawing packages. You would work in partnership with the sales team to ensure the designs are carried out in accordance with the quotations they have produced, as well as ensuring compliance with client and industry specifications. The production of engineering designs and drawings generally includes P&ID’s, general assembly drawings and detailed fabrication drawings in accordance with all applicable departmental working procedures and instructions. We utilise numerous machinery in the production of our stainless steel skids and pipework, including a 3m x 1.5m flat bed laser, 3m brake-press, as well as automated collaring and flanging machines. Ensure that work is carried out to a high standard and in compliance with BS 8888. Candidates would ideally have experience of working with Bill Of Materials (BOM) production, FEA, REVIT and CAM Software. The working hours for the role will be 8am to 5pm, there may be the potential for overtime depending on company workload and we operate a discretionary bonus scheme which you will be entitled too following completion of your probation. The role would be permanantly based at our Merstham (near Redhill) Head Office and factory. Due to the nature of the role, there is no option for hybrid working. Please contact us if you are interested in discussing the role further.
