Role: Accounts Assistant

Salary: 30,000/ 40,000
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Credit Controller/Accounts Assistant for an established construction company based in Castleford.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Sort, verify, invoice, post and file both Purchase Orders (PO) and Non-PO related Invoices
2. Reconcile Accounts to ensure all Invoices have been captured, request copies where appropriate
3. Reconcile Accounts Payable Balances against General Ledger
4. Review queries with Internal and External parties
5. Prepare payment runs to ensure Suppliers are paid as directed by Line Manager
6. Accurate and timely processing of all aspects of Purchase Ledger activities
7. Contribute to and support the Month-End process
8. Collaborate with colleagues across all areas of the business, building and maintaining good relationships
Skills
1. Experience and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Email communications
2. Experience in Xero Accounting
3. Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
4. Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
5. Excellent written and spoken English language skills are essential
6. Strong organisational skills
7. Good team working skills
