The Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) is dedicated to building a world-class careers education system, empowering young people to make informed decisions about their future by: Strengthening connections between employers and education providers. Coordinating careers provision across schools and colleges. Equipping young people with the tools to transition smoothly to their best next step, including employment and further education As an Enterprise Coordinator, you’ll work as part of the Birmingham Careers Hub and the wider WMCA Careers Hub network, developing strong relationships with schools, colleges, and local businesses to drive innovation in careers education. Please note that we are recruiting these roles on a fixed-term basis until August 2026. What you will be doing. Support schools and colleges in developing thriving Careers Hubs, connecting them with employers and Enterprise Advisers (EAs). Build strong relationships with senior leaders in education, including governors. Facilitate partnerships between schools, colleges, employers, and other stakeholders to improve career outcomes for young people. Drive progress using tools such as Gatsby Benchmarks and the Careers Impact System. Monitor and evaluate careers programmes to ensure quality and impact. Represent the Careers Hub at networking events and through stakeholder engagement. Deliver training and share best practices with the education and business communities. Recruit, train, and support a diverse network of EAs Enterprise Advisers (EAs) (Business Volunteers), matching them with schools and colleges to address their specific needs. What’s Essential. A proven track record of building relationships with schools, colleges, and employers. Experience in stakeholder management and communication, ideally in education or careers. A strong understanding of the challenges schools and colleges face in delivering careers education. Knowledge of national and local policies relating to skills and employment. Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Digital literacy and confidence using IT and social media to amplify impact. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/Level 4 or above). How to apply.
