He loves: Trampolining, visiting theme parks, and exploring zoos and aquariums. Playing in arcades, soft play centres, and adventure playgrounds. Singing along to music in the car—especially theme songs, nursery rhymes, and other favourites. Enjoying food, particularly burgers, McDonald’s, and sweet treats like Skittles Although my son is full of joy, he does face challenges. He struggles with changes to his routine, social demands, and loud noises like hand dryers or motorbikes. When upset, he may harm himself and requires calm reassurance and a supportive environment to feel safe. Location: NR 5 Job Description: Driving him to activities and participating alongside him to ensure he is safe and successful. Supervising him constantly to ensure his safety and the safety of others. De-escalating challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. Providing reassurance, hugs, and support when he feels overwhelmed. Assisting with light personal care tasks, such as helping with shoes or clothing, if needed. Any other reasonable duties as requested. Person specification Essential: Full UK driving license holder with appropriate business insurance cover. The ideal candidate would require calming, reassuring, caring, and patience. The person I employ must have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of work, including total respect for my privacy. Physically fit and able to run after him if needed. A fun and engaging personality to join him in activities he loves. Desirable: Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the individual's needs. Experience working with children with complex needs. Summary terms and conditions The rate of pay for this position is £12.50 per hour. Hours and times of work: Flexible hours The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks. Free Care Skills training is provided to employed staff. The post is subject to the following: A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer. Satisfactory references from two referees, one of whom must be your current or last employer.
