A great opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join a highly regarded manufacturing organisation based in Teesside.
Your new role
Responsibility for continued operation/upkeep of existing IT infrastructure systems, solutions implementation and project work, and provision of day-to-day IT support.
1. Takes responsibility for all aspects of IT data security and enforces industry standard best practises where appropriate.
2. Responsibility for the continued running and upkeep of the on-site and hosted servers providing IT services to the business. Scope includes security, maintenance and depreciation planning.
3. Responsibility for the running and upkeep of all aspects of the onsite network. Scope includes capacity and traffic management, security, redundancy and auditing.
4. Responsibility for disaster recovery and backup solution management to include backup integrity verification and validation.
5. Identifies and proposes solutions to streamline processes and bring efficiencies and cost savings to the business.
6. Delivers in-person and remote 1st/2nd line support to users within the business.
7. Takes responsibility for Asset and Licence tracking.
8. Creates and updates reference documentation for systems and processes.
9. Takes ownership over project work and contractor management.
10. Ensures that procedures are followed, particularly those relating to safety and security.
11. Works with Group IT and third parties to resolve issues and facilitate outcomes.
12. Provides training and guidance where required.

Strong Windows server administration skills
Strong network administration skills - wired and Wireless
Strong troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
Microsoft Azure/365/Exchange administration experience
Software deployment and Group Policy experience
Information Security best practises
Virtualisation experience
Backup systems experience
