Encocam are looking for a new Quality, Environment, Health & Safety Manager to work at their manufacturing sites in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
You will play an important role in directing the business on all Quality, Health and Safety areas to ensure the business successfully operates in a safe and efficient manner, whilst sustaining a continuous improvement culture.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
Quality
1. Maintain and implement the integrated business auditing programme.
2. Provide assistance in the preparation and review of company processes, procedures and work instructions.
3. Lead root cause analysis of preventative and corrective actions, ensuring their effectiveness and satisfactory completion.
4. Maintain the Certificate of Conformance process.
5. Prepare and present monthly management information e.g. defect, audit reports etc.
6. Manage and develop integrated management systems based on the requirements of ISO9001:2015, ISO17025:2017 and ISO14001:2015.
7. Complete Competence Assessments and audits of our test laboratory as required by ISO 17025.
8. Manage ISO 14001 environmental system including regulatory consents and permissions for hazardous materials storage and emissions, waste management and energy utilisation.
Health & Safety
1. Continue to develop a risk management, health and safety strategy for the business, working with Senior Management and Business Unit Managers to implement strategy across all divisions.
2. Assist in the organisation’s review of the H&S Manual, Policy Statement etc, taking a hands-on approach to assist delivery of this.
3. Ensure that Encocam complies with legislation and best practice on all aspects of H&S and occupational health.
4. Plan for and carry out H&S audits across the company, maintaining records and following up improvement actions where required.
5. Develop and facilitate a Contractor and Visitor safety brief.
6. Lead H&S committee meetings, proposing an agenda in advance and tabling items as needed.
7. Manage accident, Near-Miss and First Aid reports, and produce statistics as required.
8. Ensure that reports are responded to appropriately and carry out investigations as needed.
9. Ensure that documentation, such as report forms and record sheets, are fit for purpose and simple to use (e.g. First Aid Report forms, Spill / Fire Incident forms).
10. Carry out Occupational Health (including noise, airborne and surface substances, manual handling, vibration etc.) inspections, samples and surveys on both a programmed proactive basis and a reactive basis, ensuring that a report is made on the findings, considering any action required.
You should ensure a professional, quality service is always provided. You will develop and build long-term relationships, displaying a high level of attention to detail. It is essential that you have an HNC or above in an engineering discipline and/or a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
