This is a 25-hour per week role and is paid for 46 weeks at an annual salary of £14,100 - £14,321, with an outstanding benefits package.

Being a driver in our school means being part of something big. You’ll be the one who gets the children to school on time and returns them home safely, creating positive relationships with the children and parents.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the safety and behaviour of the children, and for using a variety of online reporting tools to record any communication from/to parents, or any pupil concerns. Specifically, your role as a Driver/Escort will involve both driving one of the school minibuses and escorting the children whilst they are driven, collecting them from their homes in the morning, and returning them after school. The number of young people in each vehicle will be between one and six, and there will always be two Driver/Escorts present.
About the School
Opening in Autumn 24, Westmorland’s own secondary site with a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school, catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Speech, Language and Communication needs. This secondary site school will provide education for up to 40 children aged 11 to 16. This is an exciting extension to Westmorland school, which is consistently outstanding and offers the opportunity to serve Leyland and the wider communities.

Candidate Profile

* Have a clean driving license with a minimum of 5 years driving experience and be over the age of 25
