You will play a crucial role in the logistics team, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while upholding the company's commitment to outstanding customer service. Branch Location - Unit 2 Five Arches Business Estate, Maidstone Rd, Sidcup, DA14 5AE. Working Hours The role includes a 44.5-hour work week, from Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16.30, and every second Saturday from 08:00 - 12:00. Maintain and check the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy and meets all safety regulations. Assist in loading and unloading items, ensuring the correct products are delivered to the correct addresses. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Accurately complete and manage delivery logs and paperwork. Communicate effectively with customers to provide excellent service. Drive in accordance with the law, safely and courteously Comply with current legislation Cultivate and maintain exceptional standards of customer service and ensuring Lawsons Best Practise, Standards and Company Policies are met Proactively contribute by seeking out potential company sales Be vigilant to prevent loss or damage of product and vehicle Be vigilant and report and Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately Skills and Qualifications A full valid category B driving license (essential) Previous van driving experience working in a builder's merchants (essential) Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service. Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks. Ability to handle goods carefully to prevent damage.
